Skylark Surveyors is an independent, family run surveying firm, specialising in all aspects of residential property.
Between the members of our small team we have specialist knowledge and experience of properties of most ages, from new build properties through to Listed Buildings.
Our reports are presented in a clear and efficient manner.
Our objective is to ensure each client receives the guidance required to make informed decisions, confident with their knowledge about the property we have reported on.

Meet the Team
The Surveying Team:
Matthew O’Neill Bsc.(hons) MRPSA AssocRICS – Managing Director. Building Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer. Experience covering surveys and valuations of residential and commercial property, land valuations, agency, and project management. I established Skylark Surveyors with a view to providing clients with excellent advice. The human touch is important, and the time pressures of a corporate surveying firm can mean that surveyors do not have the due time required to provide a top quality service. We are a small independent firm and each survey or valuation is carefully considered, with enough time spent on site and in the office to provide you, the client, with a useful survey or valuation report.
Simon Plummer MRICS – Valuations and RICS Level 2 Surveys
Paul Woodley MCIOB AssocRICS – RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Surveys
The Project Management Team:
Stephen O’Neill – Consultant Project Manager. Wide ranging experience working for national housebuilders, developing individual plots, extensions and refurbishments. Extensive experience of obtaining planning permission for a wide range of purposes, including planning appeals. Experience with complex land and development matters.
Admin Team
Tracey – Office Manager.
Experienced administrative and secretarial professional, with a good deal of property knowledge. Tracey manages the bookings process with assistance from Danielle. Tracey is approachable and is always there to help on the phone or by email. Meticulously organised, Tracey keeps our surveyors diaries up to date and handles any telephone and email queries.
Tracey also has a good knowledge of property which comes in handy when discussing bookings, with previous experience working at Estate Agencies and has carried out two self builds, and renovated a number of properties that she has lived in.
